This year's Great American Bash is going to be just that, a bash taking place in the heartland of America. The event this year is headlined by three grudge matches. Diamond Dallas Page got the win over Randy Savage two months prior at WCW Spring Stampede, now Savage wants revenge in a lights out match. Who will win Page-Savage II? In other action, Ric Flair and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper will unite and attempt to take down the nWo's heart by challenging The Outsiders for the WCW Tag Team Championship. Syxx will be in the Outsider's corner, but will he be enough to keep down the veterans of the sport? The third grudge match that will be settled in Moline on June 15th will be a WCW Women's Championship Match between Japan Legend, Akiro Hokuto with the devious Sonny Onoo in her corner going up against Madusa. The Great American Bash is one of the most historic events in pro wrestling, and one thing is for sure, that tradition will continue in Moline! Written by MRR

Psychosis (W/Sonny Onoo) Vs The Ultimate Dragon

The Dragon wins by submission. This is a wonderful opener. It features everything you could possibly want from these two. What really surprised me was how popular The Ultimate Dragon was here. The crowd was red hot for everything he did.

***3/4 out of 5.

The Steiner Brothers Vs Harlem Heat (W/Sister Sherri)

Harlem Heat wins by DQ after Vincent from the nWo randomly interferes. This match wasn't too shabby at all. It's always fun to watch The Steiner's suplex people in all kinds of different ways. Harlem Heat had some good offense as well.

**1/2 out of 5

Konnan Vs Hugh Morrus

Konnan wins by submission. This match was hard to watch because it was so bad. The crowd didn't give a damn about it and neither did I. There were a few blown spots as well. Overall, it's a waste of time.

* out of 5

For some odd reason, Public Enemy comes out for an interview. They give a really annoying interview.

Glacier Vs Wrath

Glacier wins. This is another pretty bad match. This is one of the worst feuds ever and that's saying something, considering it's WCW. The gimmicks were very cartoonish for 1997.

*1/4 out of 5

Women's Championship

Akira Hokuto (C) Vs Madusa

If Madusa loses, she is forced to leave WCW and never wrestle again. Hokuto ends Madusa's career with a brainbuster. This was a great effort from both ladies. It was sloppy at times, but the effort and quality of wrestling is able to overcome that. They told a great story.

**3/4 out of 5

Texas Death Match

Chris Beniot Vs Meng

Beniot wins by submission when Meng passes out to the crossface. This is really average overall. I do have to give it some praise for a couple of things. Beniot showed great fight and resiliency for overcoming the odds. Meng looked like a beast for not giving up. All the praise aside, it's still average stuff.

** out of 5

Steve McMichael (W/Debra) Vs Kevin Greene

Greene wins after Jeff Jarrett accidentally costs McMichael the match. Well, anytime you have two football players battling it out, it's not gonna be pretty. That's exactly what happened here. You know what? It's not even the worst match on the show.

*1/2 out of 5

Tag Team Championship

The Outsiders (C) (W/Syxx) Vs Ric Flair & 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper

The Outsiders win after Hall pins Piper with a Razor's Edge. The real story here is that Flair left Piper high and dry to go after Syxx. This match had energy, but that's about it. It's nothing special what so ever. The Outsiders held the tag team titles way too long.

** out of 5

Falls Count Anywhere Match

'Macho Man' Randy Savage (W/Elizabeth) Vs Diamond Dallas Paige (W/Kimberly)

Randy Savage wins with the help of Scott Hall. This was a very good brawl between these two. This match is just as good as the one they had at Spring Stampede. They battle all over the building and it was pretty intense. The ending protects DDP and doesn't hurt him at all.

***1/2 out of 5

Well, this is a decent PPV. It has some crappy stuff in it, but also some good stuff as well. It's worth a watch.
