More than a month after the broadcast networks made their series picks for next season, several pilots are still in play. The options for the actors on such projects as the ABC/Touchstone TV dramas Secrets of a Small Town, October Road and A House Divided and the Fox/20th Century Fox TV drama Beyond have been extended. Additionally, 20th TV has extended the options on Cole Hauser and Sarah Shahi, who star in Damages, the legal drama pilot for Fox. One of the project's leads, Kristin Lehman, recently was cast in another Fox/20th TV drama pilot, Drive (HR 6/14). »

Miller, Mantegna join Hunt pilot

Bonnie Hunt and Don Lake have assembled a top-notch cast for their untitled comedy pilot for ABC with Dennis Miller, Joe Mantegna and Lauren Tom tapped to co-star with them in the project. CBS has picked up a comedy pilot toplined by Chris Elliott, while the CW has ordered its first comedy pilot with Nick Lachey in negotiations to star. In other pilot castings, John Terry has joined ABC's drama Secrets of a Small Town, Erin Daniels has landed the title role in Fox's comedy Julie Reno, Bounty Hunter, Tony Curran and William Allen Young have joined ABC's drama Enemies, Jenica Bergere will co-star in Fox's comedy pilot Union Jackass, Ashley Scott has come on board CBS' drama Jericho, Richard Coyle has been added to CBS' drama Ultra, Julius Carry has joined Fox's comedy The 12th Man and Pascale Hutton has been added to another Fox comedy, The Singles Table. »

David Arquette has joined the cast of the ABC comedy series In Case of Emergency. Meanwhile, ABC has added names to four of its drama pilots: Peter Facinelli has signed on as the second lead in Enemies, Sarah Clarke has joined A House Divided, Charlotte Ross has come aboard Ugly Betty, and Sean Patrick Flanery has joined Secrets of a Small Town. In other pilot castings, Fox has confirmed that Lenny Clarke will co-star with Rob Corddry in the comedy pilot Becoming Glen. Cameron Richardson has signed on to the Fox comedy pilot If You Lived Here, You'd Be Home by Now, while Natalie Garza has joined another Fox comedy pilot, The 12th Man. Also, CBS has booked Michael Gaston in the drama pilot Jericho, and USA Network has tapped Lesley Ann Warren for its drama pilot In Plain Sight. ABC's Emergency, which has a six-episode commitment, revolves around four high school friends who unexpectedly reunite during a crossroads in their lives. »

Hernandez heats up 'Degrees'

Hostel star Jay Hernandez has been cast in ABC's drama pilot Six Degrees. In other pilot castings, Ali Larter and Hayden Panettiere have joined the cast of the NBC drama Heroes, John Billingsley and Owain Yeoman have come on board ABC's untitled Steinbergs drama, Matt Bomer, Logan Marshall-Green and Aaron Stanford have landed the three leads in the ABC drama Traveler, while John L. Adams has joined Angie Harmon in ABC's drama Secrets of a Small Town. Meanwhile, Tim Blake Nelson has been tapped to direct NBC's untitled Willie Reale drama pilot. Six Degrees, from Touchstone TV and J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot, is an ensemble soap about the intertwined stories of a group of strangers in New York from different walks of life. »

Corddry waxes for 'Glen'

The Daily Show correspondent Rob Corddry has landed the title role in Fox's comedy pilot Becoming Glen, while Angie Harmon has been tapped to star in ABC's drama pilot Secrets of a Small Town. On the pilot pickup front, ABC and NBC have ordered two comedies each. Becoming Glen, from 20th Century Fox TV, Ricky Blitt and Seth MacFarlane, centers on a successful fortysomething man who looks back at 1994, when he was a 32-year-old slacker (Corddry) living with his parents and spending all his time lying on the couch watching TV. It's been a very successful pilot season for brothers Rob and Nathan Corddry, both members of the fake news team of Comedy Central's Daily Show. Last week, Nathan Corddry was cast in another high-profile pilot, Aaron Sorkin and Thomas Schlamme's drama for NBC, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. »
