Freeform is taking an interesting tack with the battle of the sexes. Deadline reports the cable channel has put the Motherland TV show pilot into development. The project hails from Gary Sanchez Productions. Eliot Laurence is writing. He wrote 14 episodes of The Big Gay Sketch Show on Logo. He is also credited for the screenplay of the Welcome to Me feature film, starring Kristen Wiig, Wes Bentley, Linda Cardellini, Joan Cusack, Loretta Devine, and Jennifer Jason Leigh.Adam McKay, Will Ferrell, and Kevin Messick will executive produce Motherland.
