Good soft-core entertainment

Oh boy, how to describe this show.

Plot: "Latin Lover 2: Beauty & Ambition" airs in Canada on Telelatino in original Spanish version. This show has off course pretty girls, cheating, tension, manipulation, back stabbing, video tapes, cheating, even murder, and a character sent to jail. If you don't understand Spanish, you'll have difficulty to understand the plot, unlike in Latin Lover (2001). Who is the old lady? Who is the chick wearing leather? Where does the new training ladies come from and why?

Sex scenes: the photography and lighting in all simulated sex scenes are the strongest points. After a while, you'll ask yourself why the lamps are all turned on when it's obviously sunny outside? You'll also get tired of hearing the same 4 background musics which are getting annoying. When it's not simulated sex on a bed (with rose petals!), the characters are either daydreaming of having sex. In the last set of episodes, some of the female characters left without any on-screen story are seen in solo scenes in various places: taking a bath, a shower, in the pool, the backyard, in front of the bedroom window, or either having sex with a mystery man wearing a mask! There are also obvious mistakes: Why apply sunscreen when the scene is obviously shot in a closed studio set? Why is Andrea always wearing panties or a mini-skirt while having sex? How and why did that guy and chick magically appear in this episode to initiate a sex scene? Sometimes, after a sex scene, one of the character will appear in the next non-sex scene at a different place and time...

The nudity is limited to breasts and butts. There are also no gay or lesbian characters.

Overall, this show is a good soft adult entertainment, but don't try to understand all the scenes and don't expect much on the director's job.
