Mixed feelings, I just don't buy it.
15 November 2006 | by (Sweden) – See all my reviews

I saw this film with high expectations. This film was award winning in Sweden and every critic praised it. I have to say I don't buy it. Well your dads an alcoholic but damn that's some nice kitchen and living room you got. Designer made couches and stuff. This is just small annoying things but there are many of these. The cinematography is some times beautiful and sometimes really annoying. In this kind of film you want to go under the skin of the character and here's another annoying film about the film. Too few close-ups. The script is also kind of bad, many loose threads like the story with the son and the other daughter maybe some more about their feelings. Acting overall good but Sweden has got a real problem with the overacting. The mother is just annoying. But overall a good movie, it's nice with Swedish films who dare to do something different. Overall a good movie but to many missing things, I would like to remake this story with a better script.
