Fun, mindless entertainment

Skating with Celebrities might be a blatant takeoff on "Dancing with the Stars," but it is fun anyway. And you have to give these quasi-celebs their props for coming such a long way in their skating.

It is great to see judge Dorothy Hamill again. That woman is beautiful. Next she needs to do a show about how to look as young as she does at her age.

Unfortunately, the show got more attention for an off-ice scandal this year (Lloyd Eisler leaving his pregnant wife for skating partner Kristy Swanson), but the rest of the celebrity-professional parings were great.

Scott Hamilton and Summer Sanders are just fine as the show's hosts.

It isn't "must see TV" but it is a fun diversion.
