Re-living a chilling moment
Phil_Chester4 August 2019
I'll remember to my dying day where I was and what I was doing at the moment I first heard that John Lennon had been shot. It was a chilling, shocking moment. This film forces you to re-live that moment. But in no way does it help you process it. And for that reason, it falls short of a recommendation from me.

Rambles on and on
Well he comes across as such a dull, unremarkable man with no charisma. He rambles on and on and on about his inspiration for the mutder and all this rubbish. IN a nutshell he is just a very dull narcissist who wanted to become famous and this was the only way for this creep. Whilst in prison he has fathered three kids. How did that happen? Prisons are supppsed to punish bearing in mind he is in prison on the tax payers dollar. He should have tortured his entire prison life. I bet if he had shot Yoko noone would have cared. This is dated back to 2005 and it seems he is still fat and well fed. On taxpayers dollar.

Wow, I am at a loss for words.

This piece of human refuse killed one of the most Iconic songwriters of our time. He killed the man that said "Love is all you need."

...and he did this to "become famous for being the man that shot John Lennon".

And now you assholes made a move about him and gave him exactly what he wanted.

Well done. Smh.

They still can't get it right

Warning: Spoilers
If television producers will insist on giving Chapman the notoriety he sought, the inaccuracies really spoil this one. Chapman called out to Lennon before shooting him and got into a policeman's stance when he emptied his gun at John. Four out of five bullets entered Lennon's torso severing his major organs (the fifth shot missed him) and none of them went through his throat. Otherwise Lennon wouldn't have been able to mutter "I've been shot" when he stumbled bleeding into the Dakota entryway. I'm glad at least someone was willing to say Chapman knew exactly what he was doing and wasn't insane. John was all about reality. I think he would still be even in regards to his own death.
