ordinary lives of taxi drivers just like every single person, 5 May 2008
7/10
Author: Ahmet Çolak from Turkey

This series examines the lives of taxi drivers and their relations with other people. While examining the taxi drivers "Cicek Taksi" points out the the ways how the people in the society live in a criticizing manner. "Cicek Taksi" makes use of funny characters while criticizing the people. "Cicek Taksi" tries to imply the idea that there is no great society and every society has weak points which can be healed. The series has both fun and drama which caused of it to take place in the TV for long years. I cannot show a leading character in the series just like "Friends". In "Friends" there are six major characters however in "Cicek Taksi" there are more than ten major characters mostly the drivers. Lack of a leading player can be a criticize to the capitalist system and the people that became a toy of capitalist system. Since we know that capitalist system causes people to lose their identities and individualists, "Cicek Taksi" criticizes capitalism by not using any leading player and as a result of it the idea "not only the rich people are important but also every single person living in a society is important too" is given. Although the series has a good criticize topic, bad actors and repetitive episodes makes the audience get bored. Not all of the players are bad of course. Erol Günaydin, Cengiz Küçükayvaz and charming Gül Gölge plays their roles really perfect and admirable. As a result the series has a good concept but it could be better and more memorable if it did not take too long(as time and number of episodes). The series changed so many TV channels with different players and it made audience to lose their beliefs in the series but of course fanatics did not give "Cicek Taksi" up and they became the reason of the survival of "Cicek Taksi" in TV.
