Three thieves scheme to steal a flawless 20-carate diamond worth $2 million. But as their plan unfolds, everything begins to fall apart. The rock is swallowed by a man who then dies, leading to a gruesome amateur autopsy. Also, significant others and fellow criminals resort to blackmail to get a piece of the action, and all three men fall victim to rampant paranoia. Written by
The budget on this movie was super low, you can tell, but the filmmakers did a great job. Eric Roberts (Pope of Grenwich Village, Runaway Train) is cool in his role, there are a lot of twists and turns as with the detective movies of days gone buy. It was good to see Tim Kazurinski (from Saturday night Live, Police Acadamy), I haven't seen him for a while. Don Gibb (Revenge of the Nerds!) was good in his role as well.
As I mentioned above, the film mirrors the detective movies of old, where the dialog and story drag you through the mystery, as opposed to relying on car chases and big gunfights. If your in the mood for a limited budget indie that was obviously made with TLC...
