Review of Fragile
farah-ally6 July 2006
Pros - good actors, interesting concept and good camera angles

Main feedback:

The depth of Zahra's confusion/emotional troubles did not come across fully. While it was clear from her physical expressions she was confused, the lead up to her affair did not provide the audience with enough depth or understanding as to why this affair could even take place, or what her life before the job interview was like. The encounter takes place and then the movie ends quickly. I think i was left with a feeling of wanting to know how this encounter would affect her relationship with her spouse or how her character develops as a result.

love and the fragile

it is a very nice short film, that throws up the beauty of a 'fragile'woman. the unpredictable free wild child is celebrated here. modern day stylized romance though sparsely shown forms the essence of this movie. the performance of the lead actress is layered conveying her complexes subtly. the film moves smooth up the ascending curve with the right surprise at the end.the linear flow elevates the underlying layer is meant to to fill our unconscious. this is the triumph. good writing, sparse and deep music, elegant production and nice layered performances makes this spirit sublime meets modern life film a restrained resonance!
