Nicole Alexandra Lvova,
This short documentary was produced for inclusion in the DVD release for "Dawn of the Dead", which was very profitable in theaters. There is a generous amount of "behind the scenes" footage, and several of the cast are interviewed. The cast and crew had fun doing the movie. Ving Rhames shares a great suggestion - turn the sound off to test a film's effectiveness. It was interesting to learn how the mall used in the film was built; and, the more memorable zombie "effects" are reviewed. Writer James Gunn and director Zack Snyder offered the most interesting insight. Mr. Gunn identified with the "Michael" character; and, in hindsight, this character (played by Jake Weber) is probably the best written and most memorable. Tyler Bates explains some about composing the musical score. There were a couple of instances where interviewees pointed out things that weren't at all obvious, to me, in the film - for example, the zombie monsters were sympathetic, and just needed to eat?
