Kusbit returns to MTV Nets with CMT job

MTV Networks veteran Bob Kusbit has returned to the company, taking on the role of head of development at CMT.

In his new post, Kusbit will lead all development efforts for the country music network and will oversee development teams in Santa Monica and Nashville. He will be responsible for creating music and entertainment-based programming and oversee such shows as CMT Comedy Stage, Trick My Truck and Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders as well as a range of new music video showcases.

Kusbit also will add new key executives to handle the daily oversight of his production company, One Louder Prods., which will continue to develop and produce network, cable and syndicated programs. At One Louder, Kusbit was responsible for creating several series for MTV, including Made.

Before setting up One Louder, Kusbit was senior vp production at MTV, where he helped create "TRL" and oversaw production on the Spring Break series. He also oversaw music specials and series, special events and all studio-based programming.

At CMT, Kusbit will operate from the network's offices in Nashville, New York and Santa Monica, reporting to executive vp and general manager Brian Philips. »
