Aside from some potentially disturbing images, news has been pretty quiet about casting for Jon Favreau’s Iron Man 2. But recently, G4’s Olivia Munn, host of Attack of the Show, tweeted on Twitter that she’s working on two new film projects, one being the Tina Fey/Steve Carell project Date Night, and one that she couldn’t “legally” discuss.
It turns out that the film in question is Iron Man 2 and the general assumption is that she will have more of a cameo, showing up in a scene or two. Munn did, however, say on Twitter that she will “definitely” have a bigger part than her one-minute scene in Rob Schneider’s direct-to-dvd film Big Stan.
Aside from Stan, Munn can soon be seen in Broken Lizard’s Slammin’ Salmon, and of course every day on G4’s Attack of the Show, where they just announced

Back in April, Attack of the Show co-host Olivia Munn revealed on Twitter that she has been cast in two upcoming movies: One is the upcoming Steve Carell/Tina Fey comedy Date Night, and the other is some project that she was working out for but wasn't "legally" allowed to publicly discuss yet. It turns out that she has a role in Jon Favreau's Iron Man 2. No word on how large of a role she might play. I assume that she'll probably be in one or two scenes, possibly as a television announcer. Munn said on Twitter that her role is "definitely" bigger than her one minute appearance in Rob Schneider's Big Stan. Update: Munn later commented on our story on her twitter account: slashfilm took a guess at my role in iron man 2 and i am not playing a reporter. but that's all i can say.

Rob Schneider insists the rogue real estate agent he plays in new movie Big Stan isn't based on his own dad, who used to sell property for a living.
In the movie, which Schneider also directed, the funnyman's character is sentenced to prison time after cheating clients out of money.
But he insists there's no comparison to his own father - who was an honest broker.
Schneider tells Starpulse.com, "My dad was a really honest guy. He was the first guy to rent to African Americans in San Francisco in '54, before the civil rights movement and he's a good guy. He would never allow people to buy the homes if they couldn't afford to pay. He would never give loans via a second mortgage company. His clients never lost money; though, I don't think he would have been able to protect them in this kind of (climate). Anybody who lost money, he would absorb it. He was that good a guy."

Actor Rob Schneider was left with a string of painful injuries after clashing with Kung Fu legend David Carradine in his latest movie.
Carradine plays a martial arts expert hired to toughen up Schneider's character in Big Stan, the film funnyman's directorial debut.
Schneider insisted on shooting his own stunts - and ended up with broken bones and agonising muscle tears.
He tells Starpulse.com, "I did my own stunts the whole movie. I tore my rotator cuff, I broke my ankle and David Carradine broke my finger."
A strict fitness and diet regime to help him get in shape - combined with a scorching California heatwave during the shoot - also left Schneider with food poisoning.
He adds, "I would get to (the set) and it was 120 degrees it was like a vacation. What happened was the refrigerators on the trucks couldn't keep the food cold enough so it poisoned me. I had five eggs a day, that's what Bruce Lee ate... then I get f**king sick."

I remember Rob Schneider telling us about his directorial debut at the junket for The Benchwarmers. He described Big Stan, almost word for word the scene where the corporate criminal finds out he's going to be raped in prison. That is in the movie and rape continues to play a big role.
On DVD: Big Stan
I couldn't believe he actually got it made so I had to watch the movie. As a directorial debut, it certainly looks like a real movie. Nothing special, but the shots are composed and it's edited. It doesn't look any worse than a standard SNL-alum high concept comedy.
It's an "edgy" Rob Schneider film since the rape and other language makes it R. So that's a tad different, even from Deuce Bigelow which was innocent, if vulgar, sex jokes. This is not innocent.

It's a big day for Bond fans, as Quantum of Solace hits stores today, along with another volume of Blu-ray releases and a special edition of the oft-maligned Never Say Never Again. Other than that, it's pretty slim pickings I'm afraid. There is Disney's Bolt (which actually came out on the weekend), the animated companion piece Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter, and Season 3 of Adult Swim's The Venture Bros. Star Wars fans may also be interested in another installment of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series, and the 10th Anniversary Edition of the documentary A Galaxy Far, Far Away. Are you picking anything up this week? Quantum of Solace [1] (DVD, Blu-ray [2]) Bolt [3] (DVD, Blu-ray [4]) Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter [5] (DVD, Blu-ray [6]) Big Stan [7] (DVD, Blu-ray [8]) Master of the Game [9] New York City Serenade [10] Outrighteous [11] Fling [12] Columbus Day [13] Ready or Not [14] Follow That Bird: 25th Anniversary Edition

DVD Links: DVD News | Release Dates | New Dvds | Reviews | RSS Feed Well, it's a James Bond week as we have several new releases from 007. We also have a pair of Francois Truffaut films coming to Blu-ray from Criterion and Paramount has released two new films from its Centennial Collection. On top of that I think this is the first time ever that all of the announced new released dates have "buy now" links with them should you feel the need to preorder some of the latest titles announced including a new Criterion release of Bergman's The Seventh Seal as well as Paramount prestige releases including Benjamin Button, Revolutionary Road and Defiance. I should also note that Bolt will be releasing on DVD today after the Blu-ray saw an early release on Sunday. I detailed this film in my recap last week and should you be interested in what I had
