Strange Wilderness (2008)
According to his official statement, Spade is "beyond stoked that 'Joe Dirt' will finally hit the screens again on Crackle. I've been sleeping in this wig for years and it will be nice to wear it in the daytime again." It seems like it's a sequel that's been on his mind for a while, anyway. A couple of months ago, Spade was asked during a Reddit Ama about a possible sequel, and his detailed answer indicated that it was something he'd given some thought to. As per one Reddit user, "Just get Adam Sandler to foot the bill."
"Joe Dirt 2" will start production in mid-November in Louisiana, with a 2015 release date. Spade is co-writing the script with Fred Wolf,

One of the worst reviewed movies of the 2013 summer season, Grown Ups 2 still grossed a very healthy $131 million when it ran in theaters.
The attraction no doubt comes from the stars, of which this film is loaded. Adam Sandler (That’s My Boy), Kevin James (Here Comes the Boom), Chris Rock (2 Days in New York), David Spade (TV’s Rules of Engagement), Rob Schneider (The Reef) and Steve Buscemi (The Incredible Burt Wonderstone) star alongside Salma Hayek (Savages), Maria Bello (Carjacked) and Maya Rudolph (The Way, Way Back). And added to the cast this time around are Jon Lovitz (A League of Their Own), Shaquille O’Neal and Twilight heartthrob Taylor Lautner.
The story of Grown Ups 2 is basically the same as the original film, except instead of taking his friends and family back to his hometown,
It's not exactly "The Big Wedding," which is why the $3 million indie is premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival this weekend and not fast-tracked for mall multiplexes. It's a helluva lot bolder than your average studio rom-com.
Long, who stars but also produced and co-wrote the script with brother Christian Long and Keir O'Donnell, told us about his feelings on online dating (and stalking) and which one of his movies is sooooo much better when you're stoned.
So "A Case of You"… The first great cyber-stalker rom-com of our time?
Well I don't know if it's great but … It's funny while we were writing we were like, has no one really done this? I was surprised. We
Producer and American Film Co. president Brian Falk will be making his directorial debut recounting the incredible journey of pilot Harold Dixon (Dillahunt), bombardier Tony Pastula (Felton), and radioman Gene Aldrich (Abel) – virtual strangers assigned to a scouting mission on January 16, 1942. When they are forced to ditch their plane, the men are left with no food, water, or supplies; only a 4×8-foot yellow life raft to keep them afloat on a dangerous ocean.
Written by Mark David Keegan and Falk, Ghosts is being produced by Falk and Mark Moran (Struck by Lightning,
This latest release features Heffernan and Chandrasekhar in supporting roles, with Paul Schneider and Olivia Munn playing a couple trying to breed, but finding too many obstacles along the way. The solution? Break into a sperm bank where Schneider’s character made some deposits, and withdraw his specimen to save the day. Part heist film, part upper middle class fantasy, the Broken Lizard members add their own quirky sensibility to the mix of this high concept comedy.

A press release (via THR) has announced that his Happy Madison Productions will team with Sony Animation and Hasbro for this new film, which Sony’s Bob Osher hopes will be both “multi-generational” and “a family friendly motion picture that brings the Tonka experience to life”; translating that experience into a screenplay will be Fred Wolf, a man best-known for his work on Grown Ups and Strange Wilderness.
And, well, there isn’t really much else to be said. If anything, I find it just a tad interesting to note how Sandler gets further into animation as his career develops — in a few months, for instance, those with sufficient interest can see him take another swing with Genndy Tartakovsky‘s Hotel Transylvania. I don
The presence of Heffernan, Nat Faxon, and actor-director Jay Chandrasekhar will likely lure fans of Broken Lizard’s brand of raunchy irreverence, but don’t be fooled into suffering through an atrocious script written instead by Strange Wilderness offenders Peter Gaulke and Gerry Swallow. (Yes, “Swallow” for those whose minds are similarly in the gutter.)
“Parks and Recreation” alum Paul Schneider delivers his lines with a smirk of disbelief and earns the most laughs, except they mostly come from his perfect physical timing, not the farcical situations involving his character Tommy. Just a simple look or gesture had the theater busting up. And, as
Adam Sandler and friends might be headed for another middle-aged adventure as Sony Pictures and Happy Madison Productions are in talks with "Grown Ups" scribe Fred Wolf to write a sequel, according to Variety.
"Grown Ups" starred Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade and Rob Schneider as childhood friends who come together over a Fourth of July weekend to attend the funeral of their youth basketball coach. The film, released in June 2010, is Sandler's highest grossing comedy to date, earning over $227 million in worldwide box office.
If "Grown Ups 2" comes together, it will be Sandler's first-ever sequel. No word on which original cast members would be back for the second reunion, though we're betting it will be all of them.
Screenwriter Fred Wolf has a long history with Sandler and Happy Madison Productions, having written for "Saturday Night Live
This would be the first sequel that Sandler would star in, and at this time no deal is in place. Surprisingly Sandler’s involvement is contingent on the script!! Scripts have never stopped him before, so I bet he will likely be interested in starring. The first film starred Sandler, Kevin James, David Spade, Chris Rock and Rob Schneider “as five friends who reunite over the 4th of July weekend to attend their youth basketball coach's funeral.”
Wolf has been working with Sandler since his days on SNL.
