This sequel capitalizes on a lot of aspects that made Dungeon Siege so much fun: Easy to pop in and play, fast swapping of inventory items, slogging through endless foes. In addition, there are quests with backstories, use of various spells, and voiced dialogue with many characters. As if these were not enough, the party-combat system is superb and can even add on combat pets. With a small army that assaults with the click of a button, fantastic chaos ensues especially with boss fights!
Sometimes the navigation can become a bit difficult, asking questions like, "go where? Find what enemy?" Online info is a big help here. Even though there is a fair bit of improvement, there's also a good amount of repetition which may wear after many levels. All in all, excellent fun to solo whereas the first was better as a LAN activity.
