If you thought that unusual pairing existed only between hero and heroines, it's time that you think again. Aashish R. Mohan (who had earlier directed Khiladi 786 starring Akshay Kumar and Asin) has now signed Irrfan Khan and Kunal Roy Kapur for his next film Welcome To Karachi, a film that's based on global politics. Buzz is that despite it being a two-hero project, there will be only one actress in the film, whose hunt is still on. Watch this space for more developments. »

It's rare when a film adaptation lives up the book it was based on so with that in mind I have compiled a list of 40 books that have been adapted for the big screen that we can expect to see in theaters this year. This includes two books from Gillian Flynn, young adult adaptations of work by Veronica Roth, Suzanne Collins and James Dashner, a short story from Dennis Lehane, a Nick Hornby adaptation, and an adaptation written by Nick Hornby, a new John le Carre adaptation and a prequel to the stories written by Tom Clancy as well as a couple comics and graphic novel adaptations from the likes of Frank Miller and Hiroshi Sakurazaka and Alexander O. Smith. I've added everything I could think of and while I'm sure I missed a few, please forgive me and hopefully you'll find something that appeals to your taste on the list. »

In Anees Bazmee's Welcome Back, Anil Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia would be seen reprising their famous 'Tera Saath Hai Kitna Pyara' tumble-in-the-hay song from Feroz Khan's Jaanbaaz. Both Anees and his producer Firoz Nadiadwala are huge Fk fans. In fact, Welcome even starred Feroz Khan. While the sequel now will have Naseeruddin Shah taking over the role. They were the quintessential screen scorchers of the 1970s and 80s. Dimple Kapadia's love-making sequence with a bare-chested Anil Kapoor in Feroz Khan's Jaanbaaz had set the screen on fire. It had also famously prompted Dimple to call Anil "a barber's nightmare." Remind him of this, and Anil, who is now shooting with Dimple again says, "Oh God! That was like ages ago. Dimple and I last worked together in Ram Lakhan, though in that film she was opposite Jackie Shroff. She is a fantastic person and such a good actress. »
