RoboCop 3 is a side-scrolling platform shooter. You must complete several missions (such as rescuing your colleagues who are being held hostage), which are divided into several smaller levels. The levels usually consist of several platforms, and are heavily populated by enemies who shoot at you. You can gather special repair kits, which will be used to restore your health after you've completed a level. RoboCop 3 is more of a shooter than its predecessors, having more abundant and tougher enemies. Written by Shawn Watson
There would appear to be different versions of Robocop 3 depending on what machine it was written for.
On the Commodore Amiga, it was 3D filled Vector graphics, and unlike the previous 2 incarnations on the Amiga by Ocean Software that were standard side scrolling platform games, Ocean employed the likes of Digital Image Design (F-29 Retaliator, TFX, Inferno) to do the game instead.
You can either play it as an action game or follow the story of the movie closely. Shooting, driving, its all done very well. The Sega Megadrive/Genesis and SNES/SFamicom didn't get this version, and is a shame as Robocop 3 on the Amiga was everything those versions and the film were not... i.e. pretty good.
