A strange world that is well delivered with imaginative style

Being a Blackwatch short film I was looking forward to it because I cannot think of a single animated short that they have made that I have disliked. Now, with this film just don't ask me to explain it any better than I already have, or to put more of a narrative behind it because I really can't. The animation lives on its imagination and style, introducing the viewer to a whole new world and banking on this to be enough to keep them interested and not too concerned with specifics. This approach works and the strange universe is really interesting and it's all over before you have time to wonder what the heck you're watching.

The animation is a big part of this; whether it is the sweeping city, the animals or the simple creepy figure living high in the tower – it all looks great, shows real imagination and is impressive on a technical level. It may not make great sense or be that easy to take much from but it is well worth a look, not least for anyone looking to get into animation.
