Gruffudd, Grant & Collette "Foster" Interest

Toni Collette, Ioan Gruffudd and Richard E. Grant are all set to join the drama/thriller "Foster" for Reliance Big Pictures and Starlight Films says The Hollywood Reporter.

Collette and Gruffudd will play a married couple still dealing with the death of their five-year-old son several years before. After seeking to adopt a child, a young boy named Eli turns up on their doorstep.

Anne Reid and Hayley Mills also star in the film which Jonathan Newman ("Swinging With the Finkels") penned and will direct.

Deepak Nayar ("Bend It Like Beckham") produces and shooting kicks off this week in London.

Grant have assembled alongside Anne Reid and Hayley Mills to star in writer director Jonathan Newman’s “Foster.” The movie is a Reliance Big Pictures and Starlight Films production in association with Kintop Pictures, Bent Nail and Serendipity Films. Toni Collette and Ioan Gruffudd join Foster Director Jonathan Newman has added a trio of talent to his upcoming film project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Toni Collette, Ioan Gruffudd and Richard E. Grant have joined the cast of Foster.

Collette and Gruffudd will play a married couple who tragically lost their five-year-old son years ago and haven't quite come to grips with it yet. As they try to adopt a new child, a boy named Eli suddenly appears on their doorstep.

Anne Reid and Hayley Mills also star in the film. Jonathan Newman is directing the film from his own script, although a production schedule has not been released.

Foster comes to theaters in 2011 and stars Maurice Cole, Toni Collette, Ioan Gruffudd, Hayley Mills, Richard E. Grant, Anne Reid, Daisy Beaumont, Richard James. The film is directed by Jonathan Newman.

They decide to start applying to adopt, and then a young lad named Eli shows up at their house.Anne Reid and Hayley Mills are already aboard and Newman starts shooting the film in London this week.

Toni Collette has begun filming new movie 'Foster'. The Australian actress stars alongside Ioan Gruffudd in the drama, which tells the tale of a married couple who have trouble adopting a new child following the death of their son. Richard E. Grant, Hayley Mills and Anne Reid also star in the movie, which started shooting in London earlier this week, movie website Deadline.com reports. Jonathan Newman directed an original short version of the film in 2005, and producer Peter Farrelly was so impressed he telephoned Newman to begin working on a feature-length version. We're just getting back into The United States of Tara on Showtime and now Toni Collette is heading overseas. Deadline Hollywood reports that she and Ioan Gruffudd are starring in Foster -- a family film being shot in London that they describe as "a feel-good Sixth Sense." But it's more than just Casper-y. It seems that the supporting cast boasts Anne Reid, Richard E. Grant, and Hayley Mills. Yes, Ms. Child Star herself, who hasn't had a feature film since 2004's 2BPerfectlyHonest, and hasn't had a wide-spread feature since 1988's Appointment with Death.

Based on a 2005 short by Jonathan Newman (collaborating with producers Deepak Nayar), the film focuses on a couple (Collette and Gruffudd) who decide to adopt a child after their son is killed.
