Truly underrated series
12 May 2008 | by (Copenhagen, Denmark) – See all my reviews

As a loyal follower of everything Jakob Stegelmann touches, I was very thrilled when DR1 started showing this series a few years ago, and every program was fantastic, full of highlights from obscure - and often hilarious - movies from the "underworld" of cinema.

The biggest problem with this show was probably the fact that it was only on extremely late at night (11 at the earliest, often passing midnight before getting airtime), and it was not like DR had anything better to send, mostly it was just reruns of other TV-shows, or some random TV-movie or crime-show which was totally unnecessary in the first place.

My favorite episodes was always the many clips/trailers from blaxploitation movies, and the features about Danes in Hollywood (Jean Hersholdt, Sven-Ole Thorsen, etc.).. but alas, the show is no more. There is no room for the obscure anymore, only mainstream sells (of course).
