The new Batmobile
8 August 2016 | by (Berlin, Germany) – See all my reviews

"Batman: The Tumbler" is a 14-minute documentary short film and the title already gives away what this little movie is about. It is an additional feature for Christopher Nolan's "Batman Begins", the film with which he rebooted the Batman franchise. The focus here is on the Batmobile. I personally always liked the looks of the Batmobile, so i was a bit curious about this one here. But now I realize that I really only care about the looks, not about the special effects and especially not about the technology. This documentary includes interviews with some of the artists who worked on constructing the new Batmobile and it was okay to listen to what they told. Overall, not a very interesting documentary for me, but also not a failure. I would not even say that this is necessarily a good watch for Batman films, but really more for people with great interest in cars. I myself certainly don't fit that description and that's why I give it a thumbs-down.
