Alphonse Elric: You've changed, Brother! You've gotten taller!
Edward Elric: [indignant] WHAT'D YOU THINK, THAT I'D STILL BE A RUNT AT EIGHTEEN YEARS OLD?
Edward Elric: This whole place is about to blow.
Alphonse Elric: WHAT? Why?
Edward Elric: [matter of factly] 'Cause, I don't like it!
Edward Elric: I never said I wanted to go!
Alphonse Heidrich: [calmly] I'm not giving you a choice, Ed.
Dietlinde Eckart: This place isn't like where I come from. It's a brave new world.
Edward Elric: It's exactly the same; people still live, cry, laugh, and die.
Noa: [Edward is leaving for his world] Edward!
Edward Elric: ...I'm sorry...
Noa: Take me with you! EDWARD! PLEASE!
Edward Elric: [passes through the gate]
[falls to her knees]
Mabuse: Motion pictures... and weapons of war. Science has created them both. So while others point their guns, I'll have my camera... Offering fantastic dreams of other worlds, just beyond our reach.
Shiezka: [watching ships come through the gate] Now do you believe in space aliens?
Fritz Lang: [refering to a story in a newspaper] This one's very intriguing. It's about a world much like ours, but with a few differences, that exists alongside ours. A "parallel world" you could say. There might be dragons and magic in that world. Or alchemy could have developed there instead of science. The Fritz Lang there might be a criminal, instead of a director. Or maybe even a woman. That's fun to imagine.
Edward Elric: That's nothing but a dream.
Fritz Lang: A dream... but which one is the dream, and which one is reality?
Edward Elric: You'll never know.
Alphonse Heiderich: We're real, Edward. We're not just part of your dreams like you thought. I care and I make mistakes. I may not live much longer but I'll still be here. Just don't forget me.
Alphonse Elric: Another great war is sure to start. That could be something that's unavoidable, huh? I wonder if it's something we should be getting involved with.
Edward Elric: We can no longer go on thinking this world has nothing to do with ourselves. This is our world. There's no difference. This is where we live.
