Rogue ups 2 in push for development

1 June 2007 | The Hollywood Reporter - Movie News | See recent The Hollywood Reporter - Movie News news »

Rogue Pictures has promoted Alex Heineman to vp production, while Andrew Deutschman has been upped to creative executive. The moves come as the company said it is accelerating its development slate for 2008 and beyond.

Deutschman and Heineman will continue to be based in the company's West Coast and East Coast offices, respectively, reporting to Rogue co-presidents Andrew Karpen and Andrew Rona.

Heineman and Deutschman worked at Dimension Films, when Rona was co-president of that company. When Rona joined Rogue in September 2005, the duo followed. Before being upped, Heineman was a creative exec, while Deutschman was Rona's assistant.

Heineman was the creative exec on such upcoming releases as the pingpong-themed comedy Balls of Fury, the suspense thriller The Strangers and Neil Marshall's action thriller Doomsday. »
