As improbable as it might at first seem, Gene Simmons is coming to Up. The Kiss frontman and his family will make their debut on the network, which is dedicated to uplifting viewers, in April with the U.S. premiere of the docuseries “Shannon & Sophie,” which has been acquired by Up. Cohen comes from A&E Network where he held the post of senior vice president, talent and production, for the past three years. At A&E, he developed talent-driven programming and oversaw all talent for the network.
“Neil is among the most-liked and most-respected talent executives in the business, with an enviable track record of developing great shows to boot,” said UTA managing director Jay Sures. “We know Neil will be a terrific agent and a major asset to our Alternative TV department, and we’re excited he is joining UTA.”

Playing like the crass, harebrained sister of Gone Girl’s infidelity issued ‘hell hath no fury’ treatment like a you-know-what, Anthony Burns’ sophomore feature, Home Sweet Hell plays like a watered down knock-off on all variable fronts. Broadly drawn, familiar scenarios littered with quirky supporting characters comprise this crude lump of a movie, hewn from the burnt stump of privileged suburban malaise, a dish once perfected now over baked into mutations of vulgar shock effect. Surprisingly, however, the very aspect of the film that works against its own appeal happens to be the sole point of enjoyment. But it’s not enough to make the film worthwhile.
