The direction the sun sets changes from the beginning of the movie to the end. Initially the sun sets in the direction of the Croods' hunting grounds (two knuckle warning). But, they spend the majority of the movie heading towards a mountain in the opposite direction, which is where the sun sets for the remainder of the film.

When the family goes out hunting for breakfast in "breakfast formation", Eep starts out on her fathers left side but is on his right side in the next shot. If it's a formation, you stay in position.

Revealing mistakes

During the second scene with the Punch Monkeys, when Guy hands one a banana, the monkey's fingers pass through the banana when he squeezes it.

The goof items below may give away important plot points.

When Grug finds Douglas near the end of the movie, he has Thunk's shell in his mouth from when Thunk threw it. When the scene cuts to the rest of the Croods blowing their shells for Grug, Thunk has the same shell even though Douglas should currently have it in his mouth.
In the final scene, Sandy hops on Douglas with Belt to ride off with the family. As the family rides together, Belt is missing and Sandy is riding Douglas by herself.
When the family re-unites in the final act, the Trip Gerbil (one of the rescued pets) is noticeably absent as they stand in awe of their new home while the other pets are still in scene.

Factual errors

At the end of the movie when Grug rescued Douglas, he knew his name, but in fact Thunk found Douglas in Grug's absence and lost him before Ugga and Grug's return.
