Mad scientific genius Caractus P. Doom, with the help of a series of fiendish inventions and his reluctant lackey Harry Slime, is bent on total domination of Big City and the entire planet. His only obstacle is a gang of three motorbike-riding Avenger Penguins, consisting of the leader Marlon and his two friends, big dim-witted Rocky and incomprehensible babbler Bluey. Written by
The core of the show's themes is heavily and coincidentally similar to "Biker Mice of Mars", although the two shows being aired exactly the same time and from two different parts of the world that hadn't any connections whatsoever with each other, it is completely difficult to determine who ripped off who. Alright. But certainly not as good as previous Cosgrove Hall Features!
Surely after the success of "Count Duckula" Cosgrove Hall should of had more imagination than this! This so-so new cartoon series from 1993 was not terrible but certainly was not great! They might of been in the 1990's but they could of keep the original 1980's Cosgrove Hall animation style other than modernising it to keep up with the tastes of that period. Getting to the point, the shows is about three bike-mad penguins trying to foiling of a mad scientist. Right? Right! The stories are good but the humour and the animation drags it downs. You shouldn't make a cartoon in the style of the period you're living in, you should do animation how you like and how it fits your image. I also thought the characters were cheesy and the message was overdone. If you are looking for a cartoon to revive your nostalgia of the mid 90's, than this is the thing you're looking for. I just didn't think it was that great! But I'm going to be generous and give it 5/10. I feel for Cosgrove Hall Productions, after the likes of "Danger Mouse" and "Alias the Jester" this is a step down! Fair? 5/10
