  • TMZ
[[tmz:video id="0_2mvaktxh"]] No, having Brock Lesnar play Ivan Drago's son in "Creed 2" makes no sense ... so says Drago himself, Dolph Lundgren. Sylvester Stallone was the person who sent the rumor factory into overdrive earlier this week when he posted a photo of Brock fighting Rocky Balboa. So, when we saw Dolph at The Palm restaurant in Beverly Hills we had to ask if Lesnar's got a job in "Creed 2." Big challenges come in all shapes and forms!

Wrestling Daily News Roundup – Possible Main Event for The Royal Rumble, Chris Jericho Attacks Kenny Omega, Brock Lesnar Movie Role?

Liam Hoofe with a round-up of the latest wrestling news…

Main Event for The Royal Rumble

In the main event of last night’s Raw [read our review here], Kane fought Braun Strowman to determine the new number 1 contender for the Universal Championship. The bout, which was disappointing, ending in a double count-out for both men, meaning that it is still unclear as to who The Beast will face at the Rumble.

Many people online, however, are speculating that Braun Strowman and Kane will both face Brock Lesnar in a triple threat match at the Rumble. While this would be a nice way of protecting Braun, it seems crazy to think that Kane could be in a PPV main event, competing for a top title in 2018, while the likes of Finn Balor sit on the sidelines. Stranger things have happened, though, and this definitely looks like the way they are moving forward.

Synopsis:

Three brothers in the slums of 1940s New York try to make their fortune by training the youngest sibling to become an underground wrestler.

After the success of Rocky in 1976 Sylvester Stallone was a hot property in Hollywood and was pretty much able to get any passion projects he wanted a green light, which is why between Rocky and Rocky II we got trucking federation drama F.I.S.T. and, more significantly, Paradise Alley. Significant because as well as writing it Stallone also directed it (and in true Little Britain style, also sang the theme tune), which marked his first time behind the camera, setting him up to direct Rocky II the same year, and also because despite sharing many themes and plot threads as Rocky,

Ivan Drago’s son seemingly confirmed for Creed 2

Back when there were rumblings that Dolph Lundgren’s Rocky IV antagonist Ivan Drago would be returning for Creed 2, rumours were circulating that Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed would see himself going up against son of his father’s killer, and it looks like those reports may now have been confirmed.

Speaking to MMAFighting.com, Mma star Sage Northcutt revealed the following:

“The new Creed II movie is coming out so I was actually going to audition for that. Got a little audition tape, so hopefully that goes through. That would be pretty neat. Being Ivan Drago’s son in the movie? That would be pretty fun. Sylvester Stallone seems like a really cool guy, and Dolph Lundgren seems awesome. I think me and Mr. Dolph Lundgren look kind of alike.”

The Show | The Good Place

The Episode | “Existential Crisis” (Oct. 12, 2017)

The Performance | Playing an immortal demon doesn’t really lend itself to a ton of emotional range. But the equally immortal Danson found a way to add a few layers of depth to The Good Place‘s afterlife architect Michael this week, via a crushing existential crisis.

Danson’s performance split in two very different halves: First, during an ethics lesson with Chidi, Michael began to comprehend the meaninglessness of existence and fell into a deep “existential coma,” with Danson hilariously letting out an agonized wail

How This Is Us Might Be Setting Kevin Up For a Serious Addiction

All three Pearson children have had trouble dealing with their father Jack's death on This Is Us. While both Kate and Randall have acknowledged it was hard on them, though, Kevin seems to have tamped down his grief - and we wonder if it's about to start manifesting itself as a drug problem. On the latest episode, pointedly titled "Highs and Lows," Kevin begins shooting his movie with costar Sylvester Stallone, who was Jack's favorite actor (which is a nice nod to Milo Ventimiglia's real-life friendship with Sly; Ventimiglia played Sly's son Robert in the 2006 film Rocky Balboa). On set, Kate tells Sly how much he meant to their father, who passed away when the kids were in high school, and Stallone uses that as a way to reach out to Kevin before they shoot some emotional scenes together. 'This Is Us' Unravels 5 Painful New Clues About Jack's Death
Warning: Spoiler alert! Do not proceed if you have not watched Tuesday’s episode of This Is Us.

This Is Us welcomed Sylvester Stallone on Tuesday’s episode, titled “Highs and Lows,” and it was his fatherly advice to Kevin about dealing with Jack’s death that struck an emotional chord.

“There’s no such thing as a long time ago,” Stallone says on the set of their fictional wartime movie, after Kevin tells him his father died “a long time ago.” “There are only memories that mean something and memories that don’t.” Out of the Big Three, Kevin has had the most difficulty talking about and properly grieving over Jack’s death; Kate let out her frustrations, guilt and grief in pound class and in therapy, while Randall relived the loss through the death of his biological father, William.

During her on-set visit, Kate opens up to Stallone about the huge impact his movies

‘This Is Us’: Every Sylvester Stallone Scene Ranked By Its Inspirational Power
“People can be good” seems like an oddly basic concept to celebrate, but given current events, “This Is Us” delivered the message audiences needed most Tuesday night: People can be good, and sometimes those people are Sylvester Stallone.

In Episode 3, “Déjà Vu,” the most inspirational action star of all-time guest-starred on TV’s most inspirational series and, well, things got emotional. Stallone was invited to join the series by his “Rocky Balboa” co-star Milo Ventimiglia, who played Rocky Jr. in the 2006 film, so it was doubly fitting to learn that Jack was a die-hard Stallone fan in the series. Clever work, Dan Fogelman.

But how much of the good vibes came from Stallone’s presence and how much came from the writing? Did the presence of a three-time Oscar nominee distract from the series’ central storyline or enhance it? And most importantly, how did viewers feel after each one of Stallone’s scenes?

Sylvester Stallone Announces He Will Direct Michael B. Jordan in ‘Creed 2’
Last night Sylvester Stallone announced on Instagram that he will be directing “Creed 2.” “Looking forward to directing and Producing The incredibly talented Michael B Jordan in Creed 2 next year … One more Round!,” wrote Stallone.

Stallone has previously said he had completed writing the first draft of the script for “Creed 2” and hinted he is bringing back Dolph Lundgren’s Ivan Drago character (and presumedly his offspring) from “Rocky 4.” Last month Stallone also announced production would begin in 2018, although distributor MGM told Variety the project was still in development.

In addition to writing and starring in the original “Rocky,” Stallone had directed four of the previous sequels, including “Rocky Balboa” — made 30 years after the original, when Stallone was 60 years old — which was assumed to bring closure to the successful franchise.
