For any fan of Newsies, Blood Drips is entirely necessary for your film collection. The actors from the movie Newsies used a video camera and filmed a horror movie with Mark David starring as the protagonist who just wants a role in the movie, Newsies. You can get it offline on various fan sites, or if you're really lucky, you might have a friend who gives you his copy as a gift (Thanks again, Charlie!). It's very cute and teenage-boyish. I've personally shown it to all of my friends here at college, and we love it. Michael Goorjian is pretty much our hero -- not to mention Mark David, who has an impeccable Don Knotts impersonation. It's only too bad that Aaron Lohr's part was so very small. ;) But honestly, it's very cute and planned well -- and includes behind-the-scenes looks at movie sets, and interesting directing choices. Some of the humor is very low-brow (it IS teenage boys writing/directing/starring in this, after all), but overall charming and very funny.
