Brain-breaking.

Yes, it's a mockumentary. Yes it's local to Dallas (I picked it up at Half Price for a buck.), and a friend of mine actually recognized some of the film locations.

The problem with this film isn't just that it isn't funny, or badly written, or scatterbrained, it's all three. The movie skips around and at times it is really hard to understand the way the movie is moving. The occasional sequence of funny faces is just confusing, and the music is just an add on which doesn't merit the box cover splash.

We won't talk about the DVD cover, which has the screen shots out of focus.

If you're an aficionado of bad movies - yep, this is a winner. If you're not, avoid this movie like the plague.

American Ninja...stay away from me..

Warning: Spoilers
My best friend said there was a longer version of this movie, thank the lord almighty that we didn't have to sit through it. I really used to like Ninjas and Ninja movies, I mean we have the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Chuck Noris, American Ninja I through V, classics really. This "movie" was none of those. It was the white stuff that forms on your lips when you haven't had water for a long time combined with cheeta scat blended into a cocktail with racism. Let me explain: McGoogle overuses the Montage to the extent that it become unbearable to watch. Torture would have been more preferable. This made it "Not Cool". Second, every scene in the movie was about 10 seconds too long. Watching him kill is brother was over 2 minutes, with the sword just stuck in the guys arm pit. There is good news though, the best part was when they killed the dog. I laughed and then pooped myself.

My recommendations when you do decide to watch the film: choose another film.

Jesus Out.

"The funniest ninja movie since... ever?"

Personally, I thought this film was brilliant. Now granted, I live in Dallas (where it was filmed), and I have a tendency to love bad films to begin with, but...

The movie is done in a mockumentary style, interviewing George McGoogle about his life in E-Hollywood Story type fashion. We follow him as he recaps (and enacts) his adventures, trials, tribulations, and film career. As the DVD cover tells us "There's a lot of kicking in this movie!" It also features hit music by Wally Pleasant, who I have never heard of outside of the context of this film.

Two recommendations when you do decide to watch the film: -don't cut it off before the credits are over, it's worth it to wait -watch it with the commentary, it's tortuously entertaining
