We want Saint's Row to be the next step in the evolution of open world games. It is a game that gives you a great deal of freedom: freedom to create and customize your character, freedom to choose how you unfold the various stories and freedom to choose which of the gameplay elements you enjoy the most. You start as a low ranking members of the 3rd Street Saints, a gang that is under attack from three other gangs that dominate the city of Stilwater. In order to survive, you quickly realize that you have to win this fight and take over the city. You do this one neighborhood at a time. In each neighborhood, there is a certain number of things you can do, ranging from street racing, to pimping to Hijacking etc; We call them activities. Johnny Gat: There's gotta be a better plan than "Lets Be Monroe's Bitches"!
Dex: You're right. There is. Marshall Winslow was a major public figure and you can bet your ass that people would ask questions if the chief of police wasn't at his funeral. I say we hit Monroe during the funeral procession. That should show whoever he's working with that we're not fucking around.
Johnny Gat: You're saying we should assassinate the chief of police while he's at the funeral of the guy we just smashed?
Dex: Yeah.
Johnny Gat: Don't tease me, Dex!
Dex: ...

Great Game
26 August 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Before you count my review off , Please let it be known that i picked this game up early from a neighborhood game store, that sells games as soon as they get Delivered.

When you start out, You get to Creater your character. There's caucasian, Asian, African American, And Hispanic. From there, you can edit facial features, such as eyes and facial hair, You can edit your hairstyle and color, and Edit muscle mass. The Character customization is amazing, blows San andreas out of the water. Saints row also features Superb Ragdoll physics, You can crash and send the passenger flying through the window. The mission types are Better than in grand theft auto. There Are numerous Side missions. There's Insurance Fraud, Where you throw yourself into oncoming traffic, There's hijacking where you steal a car and bring it back to a garage. There's Snatch, where you go and steal Hookers from other pimps and bring them back to your employing pimp. The controls are Great. You don't use auto aim like in other games of the type, you use third person controls similar to max payne. The Cars are pretty cool, and the damage modeling is A nice twist to what you see in driver, gta, etc. There are a lot of Car types, and you can also customize your car.The only downside is the cars Handle like in true crime, which isn't a good thing.Online play is Great as well, where teams of up to 12 can engage in numerous gametypes.

Overall, this game is the full package, and you would be doing yourself an injustice by not purchasing it.
