In rural Texas, welder and hunter Llewelyn Moss discovers the remains of several drug runners who have all killed each other in an exchange gone violently wrong. Rather than report the discovery to the police, Moss decides to simply take the two million dollars present for himself. This puts the psychopathic killer, Anton Chigurh, on his trail as he dispassionately murders nearly every rival, bystander and even employer in his pursuit of his quarry and the money. As Moss desperately attempts to keep one step ahead, the blood from this hunt begins to flow behind him with relentlessly growing intensity as Chigurh closes in. Meanwhile, the laconic Sherrif Ed Tom Bell blithely oversees the investigation even as he struggles to face the sheer enormity of the crimes he is attempting to thwart. Written by

The silencer on Chigurh's shotgun was specially made for the movie. Such a device didn't exist, so the Coens had one invented. See more »
The sign that shows that Anton is driving towards Del Rio is incorrect. There is an arrow that shows Highway 90 veering off towards the left and Del Rio veering off in the opposite direction of the fork in the road to the right. In fact, the only highway that comes in and out of Del Rio is Highway 90. If Anton was driving to Del Rio, he would be on Highway 90 heading towards Del Rio. See more »

Jim Scarborough'd never carried one; that's the younger Jim. Gaston Boykins wouldn't wear one up in Comanche County. I always liked to hear about ...

I decided to watch this film just because it won Best picture.I thought it would be serious movie work made by talented people, but i was wrong after first minutes this movie made me sleep, but I wanted to know what it has in it that people love(they gave it Oscar). Acting is poor, plot has a lot of holes, this movie doesn't made people interested,i wasted two hours of my life and haven't seen anything, like anything.
I don't recommend you to watch this movie,i don't even understand why it has so high rate, all Oscars that were given to this film should have been given to others, because i haven't seen anything special in Barden performance or about this movie.I have to admit and i wouldn't lie this is the worst movie i've seen in my life.
