Fascinating glimpse into the lives of David Ruffin & Eddie Kendrick!
3 January 2007 | by See all my reviews

This is a very different look at the men who defined the voices of Motown's Temptations. I loved seeing David Ruffin and Eddie Kendrick remember their stories while on top while singing their hits a cappella on a street corner.

Engaging doc format with lots of info, music and exciting visual style. Paints a great story worth seeing and experiencing.

Arthel Neville leads the viewer on this dash into the past and becomes part of the story along with Dennis Edwards, Daryl Hall, Mary Wilson, Martha Reeves, Stevie Wonder and the Dramatics.

Great locations from New York's Apollo Theater, to snowy street corner in Chicago, this production even delivers a unique setting in downtown New Orleans... the Piazza DE Italia.

My favorite moment is the song " I wish it would Rain" featuring a cappella from New Orleans and ending on the stage in England. Great Stuff! I know you can still get copies at streetgold@aol.com!
