- A gang member is beaten to death with a bat by a teenager. A gang member shoots an innocent teenager at close range as a crime of retaliation.

- Very heavy swearing throughout the entire film. Most notably, there is an F-word in almost every sentence uttered by teenage characters. Excluded are lines by adults, Laurie's very young son, and some very minor characters.
