Darwaza Bandh Rahko is about a group of would-be kidnappers who find themselves in an increasingly complicated situation when they invade the home of a down-on-their-luck family with their hostage in tow. Everyone that comes to the door (which seems to be most of the local population) ends up as hostages while the kidnappers try to negotiate with the unbelieving father, who is in the US on business.
The reason that the father is not believing that his daughter has been kidnapped is because as a lark, she's already staged her own kidnapping before, perhaps for attention because dear daddy seems rather wrapped up in his business.
So, we end up with a house full of people, all of whom have different ideas of what to do, and the scheming homeowner, who needs money, is trying to negotiate with the kidnappers to cut him in. We also have a pizza delivery guy who is a "wanna-be" gangster, a door-to-door shampoo saleswoman, a local police constable who has come in search of his wife, who is the house-servant, etc.
This is fairly amusing but the longer it goes on, the more ridiculous it gets. And it does go on for a while. Overall, it's not bad, and I kind of enjoyed it, but my taste in Indian films strays more to the thriller and spooky stuff, not comedies. Still though, worth seeing for a few laughs. 6 out of 10.
