Storyline

The Web of Shadows concerns the return of the heroic Toa to Metru Nui. There, they find an old enemy has overtaken the great city with the help of Visorak--robotic spiders that can quickly encase anything or anybody in near-indestructible webs. The Toa undergo a bizarre metamorphosis while sealed within strange cocoons, and emerge as clunky-looking machines made up of mismatched parts. Though horrified, they find that they also possess some new powers, which prove essential for their subsequent journey to restore Metru Nui--and themselves. This delightful Bionicle installment is probably easily accessible for any viewer unfamiliar with the series to date. Written by Anthony Pereyra {hypersonic91@yahoo.com}

Trivia

Roodaka's name means "treachery" in Matoran (the main Bionicle language used during its first story). It earned this meaning for her treacherous and manipulative behavior that we see in the movie, and also for her being a double-agent for the Brotherhood of Makuta and the Dark Hunters (two of the most powerful Bionicle organizations). Goofs

When the characters are seen from certain angles, you can notice that some pieces of their armor aren't actually attached to their bodies. Take Whenua, for example, when he shouts to Vakama "We came here to save you!", the triangular plate that covers his crotch area is clearly floating in the air. While in other shots, again only from certain angles, you can see that the characters don't have anything under their shoulder armor, even though from the outside, muscle tissue is visible underneath the armor. Quotes

Sidorak: What is that?
Vakama: I guess it's Keetongu.
Sidorak: But Keetongu doesn't exist!
Vakama: Obviously, you're wrong about that. I'll take care of him.
Roodaka: No, Vakama. It is not your place. It is that of a king.
Sidorak: [looks around nervously, then tries to look confident] If Keetongu wasn't a myth before, he soon will be.

Bionicle3 was a great sequel
3 September 2006 | by (Singapore) – See all my reviews

Bionicle was great after watching it and while the show just keeps you wanting to watch it again and again The character detail are good and this time i finally get to see a huge scale battle well its actually the part where the 4 Toa Hordika fight with more than thousands of Visorak and when there was a great explosion when the legendary Kitanggu fell from the tower Overall the animation is great,the environment the character details are nicely done and the movie is good as it follows most parts of the book well I'm not really sure of that because i don't read them but thats n ot the point what I'm also curious ids that why are people voting the movie but their votes aren't good enough since overall its 5.0 out of 10 i mean come on its a good movie isn't it?
