The Web of Shadows concerns the return of the heroic Toa to Metru Nui. There, they find an old enemy has overtaken the great city with the help of Visorak--robotic spiders that can quickly encase anything or anybody in near-indestructible webs. The Toa undergo a bizarre metamorphosis while sealed within strange cocoons, and emerge as clunky-looking machines made up of mismatched parts. Though horrified, they find that they also possess some new powers, which prove essential for their subsequent journey to restore Metru Nui--and themselves. This delightful Bionicle installment is probably easily accessible for any viewer unfamiliar with the series to date. Written by Anthony Pereyra {}

Did You Know?

Greg Farshtey, author of the original Bionicle comics and most of the books, claimed he was greatly displeased with the plot of this movie, since he thought that Vakama joining the villains made no sense for his character. He would instead have chosen Matau. But since he was only distantly involved with the movie, and Bob Thompson was at the time the head of the Story Team, Farshtey had no say in the story. He said that if he could rewrite one part of the saga, this would be it. See more »

In a lot of shots, the leg movements of the Visorak don't match up to their walking speed, so their feet are sliding across the ground very noticeably. See more »

Norik: And what about your friends?
Vakama: Former friends.
Vakama: They think being a leader is so easy, they can try it themselves.

Bionicle3 was a great sequel
3 September 2006 | by (Singapore) – See all my reviews

Bionicle was great after watching it and while the show just keeps you wanting to watch it again and again The character detail are good and this time i finally get to see a huge scale battle well its actually the part where the 4 Toa Hordika fight with more than thousands of Visorak and when there was a great explosion when the legendary Kitanggu fell from the tower Overall the animation is great,the environment the character details are nicely done and the movie is good as it follows most parts of the book well I'm not really sure of that because i don't read them but thats n ot the point what I'm also curious ids that why are people voting the movie but their votes aren't good enough since overall its 5.0 out of 10 i mean come on its a good movie isn't it?
