A very funny film, South African style
24 December 2006 | by (South Africa) – See all my reviews

Plot: Jack is currently working on a film on Robben Island about Nelson Mandela's life. During a reception Jack's drink is spiked. He begins to hallucinate and soon destroys his reputation with the ensuing chaos he causes.

His director is not impressed at all and Jack needs to leave town asap. Jack's make-up artist and friend decides to disguise Jack as a domestic worker and voilà! we have Mama Jack. Soon fate steps in and Jack lands up as a domestic worker for his former director's wife who is not a happy chap.

The film is very funny, South African style. Overseas folks might not appreciate it as much.

Worth buying? No, but hire it to share the laughs with family and friends.
