Kool Keith

The shape-shifting and enigmatic hip hop artist Kool Keith has managed to surprise, shock, and enrage fans and detractors alike with virtually every album he has released. His many personas include Dr. Octagon, under which he released 1996's DR. OCTAGONOCOLOGIST, a futuristic masterpiece that flouted traditional hip hop mores in favor of intriguingly disruptive, warped rhymes. He is also the Black Elvis, Dr. Doom, Mr. Gerbik, and Rhythm X, and is formerly of the Bronx group the Ultramagnetic MCs, with whom he first established himself as a rapper who pushes the envelope and is not afraid to be critical of the system within which he operates. This DVD release features multiple interviews with the artist, as well as live concert footage. Keith takes his audiences on a tour of Manhattan and the Bronx. Keith also explains why he loves seltzer water. Written by rotten tomatoes

This DVD isn't for anyone. As a matter of fact, its pointless, which may be why it is so hilarious. There are two chapters, one is about 8 minutes long and features Kool Keith talking about how to stock your fridge. I can say, honestly, that it is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Kool Keith is definitely a genius, and if you need proof, watch this. I have seen this segment probably 20 times and every time I watch it I laugh so hard that I feel like I am going to puke. I cannot imagine hanging out with Keith. He is like the funniest person in the world. And thats the high point of it. The other chapter features Keith walking around NYC, going to Popeyes, meeting up with his crew and taking pictures of an ugly fat girl. Keith needs to come out with another DVD, ASAP!!!
