Storyline

Tomboy sits on the veranda reading a book, and occasionally throwing an apple at her young neighbor, Bob Whitman. An interview follows, and she becomes engaged to Bob. While Bob is telling his father of this, Tomboy assaults them with a bean-shooter. She gets her father, a near-sighted minister, to try a shot, and he, innocently taking the bean-shooter, is promptly accused by the Whitmans of making the assault. A scene between the parents follows, the engagement is broken, and Tomboy is packed off to boarding school. Her pranks at school are equally edifying. She decorates one girl's face with burnt cork, and with the aid of pepper she sets the entire class and the principal sneezing. Finally she is sent to her room in disgrace. But Bob has not been idle, and he sends Tomboy a note, planning an elopement. The following night he comes to the boarding school, with an automobile and a ladder. He is to throw a pebble against Tomboy's window. He throws it against the principal's window. ... Written by Moving Picture World synopsis
