World travelling reporter Göran Ödquist rented a summer house for him and his partner, fashion photographer Siri Westin, near his brother Axel's family home. While Göran has some urgent job in Stockholm, Siri goes alone to picturesque Strömsberg, seeking quiet, but is fascinated when she spots a wild wolf at night, the first since generations. She woken early by local handyman Jonas Langvik, hired to urgently fix the roof, who lives on his boat. They keep meeting and enjoying nature, gradually find fighting attraction pointless. Siri starts questioning if she truly loves city-boy Göran, who finally arrives. A secret from Jonas's past and a sudden rescue decide their future.
