Recap: Dancing With The Stars Season 19 Finale, Part 2

1 hour ago | ChannelGuideMag | See recent ChannelGuideMag news »

Tonight’s season finale kicked off with Dancing with the Stars: Road to the Finals a one hour special that chronicled the journey of the three remaining couples. The highlight of the hour showed fun facts about the season like “#dwts fun fact … Alfonso is an avid race car driver.” And “#dwts fun fact… Janel has 17 tattoos.” But other than that, the hour was basically a rehashing of many of the production packages that were shown earlier in the season and remembering “The Journey.” It was basically an hour of wasted time that probably made East Coast parents curse … Continue reading →

Dancing With the Stars: And the Winner Is...

2 hours ago | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

My how times have changed. A few months ago, when we heard the line-up for this season of Dancing With the Stars, and we were like, "Who?" There were a few familiar faces, but for the most part, it seemed like they were reaching a bit with their definition of the word "star." It seemed like it was the beginning of the end for this long-running reality powerhouse. Now, here we are at the finale, and we don't want to say goodbye. We fell in love with season 19 and its odd assortment of vaguely famous contestants, and we are going to miss them all. Anyway, tonight was the end of the road for all of the contestants, and another champion has been crowned, and it is no surprise whatsoever that »

'Dancing With The Stars' Season 19 Winner: Who Took Home the Mirror Ball Trophy?

2 hours ago | Entertainment Tonight | See recent Entertainment Tonight news »

*Warning: Spoilers

This Dancing With The Stars season 19 championship had everything you could possibly want in a season finale! Big name musical stars, show-stopping dance numbers, and a guest dance from (almost) every star that competed this season.

One problem that Dancing With The Stars always faces during their season finale spectaculars is that almost all the viewer votes have been already been cast and counted, meaning the episode always feels like two hours of inconsequential musical routines and filler before the contestants' final dances.

Video: Alfonso Ribeiro Finally Does the Carlton on 'Dancing With The Stars'

However, this season was jam-packed with super entertaining performers and riveting dance routines. So when Tommy Chong, Randy Couture, Bethany Mota, Jonathan Bennett and all the other dancers you loved to watch (or loved to hate) redid their most memorable dances and it was just simply an enjoyable two hours of television.

Who Won Dancing with the Stars?

2 hours ago | TVGuide - Breaking News | See recent TVGuide - Breaking News news »

Well, we've arrived at the end of another long, hard season of Dancing with the Stars. I don't know about you guys, but I totally empathize with the physical pain the contestants are in at this point. I've gotten multiple leg cramps from sitting on my couch watching these performances week after week.

Per usual, the two-hour final episode — preceded by an hourlong look back at the season — is an exercise in fluff and short-term nostalgia.

After another wild and wacky season of tangos and tears, salsas and cheers – not to mention one of the most closely contested finales in Dancing With the Stars history – Season 19’s momentous, Mirrorball-crowning moment of truth is upon us.

Would the ballroom’s most consistently excellent performer, Alfonso Ribeiro, maintain his form long enough to hold off two fiercely formidable female challengers — Sadie Robertson and Janel Parrish? Would it all come down to Tuesday’s last dance, the mega-challenging 24-hour Fusion Challenge? (Um, it might’ve… had all three routines not garnered 10s across the board from the judges!)

At its best, Dancing with the Stars has a sort of manic energy to its performances—even when the celebrities aren't the best dancers, the choice of theme or music can still be fun. Last night, Sadie Robertson of Duck Dynasty fame danced with partner Mark Ballas to a Super Mario Bros. medley, one of the most famous and recognizable suites of video game music ever made. But in a way, Hough was okay with that. "We joked about this today," he told People backstage after the show. "The best place to come in is fourth or first.
