Kannada actor Sharan to star in 'Rambo 2'

SandalwoodDirected by Anil Kumar, Rambo 2 is scheduled to hit the silver screens in February.Digital NativeDigital NativeActor Sharan’s Rambo was a big hit way back in 2012 and the star is looking to regain his star status with Rambo 2. Interestingly, Rambo was Sharan’s 100th film and it was his debut as hero. Being a comedy film, it tasted immense success at the box office. Directed by Anil Kumar, Rambo 2 is scheduled to hit the silver screens in February. Sharan, apart from playing the lead role, is also producing this film under his banner along with music composer Arjun Janya, cameraman Sudhakar Raj and editor K M Prakash. Ashika will be seen playing the female lead with Chikkanna in a pivotal role. Speaking about it, one of the film’s producers Tarun Sudhir told The New Indian Express that though the film has been titled Rambo 2, it is not a sequel to Rambo. He reportedly told, “Like in Rambo, a car plays a very major character in Rambo 2, and that’s one of the reasons we went with the title that was quite apt to the story’s theme.” The film's audio teaser and soundtrack have been released already which has upped the expectation levels for it. Rambo 2 is currently in the post-production mode and its makers are planning to release it next month. However, the exact date of its release is yet to be revealed. Rambo that released in September 2012 was directed by Ms Sreenath. It was produced jointly by Atlanta Nagendra and Sharan. While Sharan had played the lead role in the movie, it also starred Madhuri Itagi, Sadhu Kokila and Rangayana Raghu in crucial roles. Arjun Janya has composed music for this venture with Krishna cranking the camera and editor Km Prakash editing it.

Is Sylvester Stallone Hinting At The Expendables 4?

The Expendables 3 was once promised to be the last chapter in the franchise, but it seems that’s not the case anymore as we found out recently that The Expendables 4 is now a go. However, shortly after the big announcement came the shocking news that Sylvester Stallone was bowing out of the project. At the time, sources said it was due to disagreements with Nu Image/Millennium Chief Avi Lerner.

From what we understand, Lerner and Stallone have butted heads in the past, but have apparently been able to find common ground. Not for this pic, though, with lengthy arguments over elements of the planned Expendables 4 – these range from your usual disagreements over director and script to more esoteric things like which CGI company will take care of the effects. Unfortunately, after the actor departed, all went quiet on the project but now, a mysterious Instagram post from Stallone has

Creed 2 Finds A New Director

  • Cinelinx
First off Mark Rylance is a bum, and Sylvester Stallone deserved the Oscar for Creed. Perhaps he can win one for Creed 2! For a Supporting role, or Directing.

The Argument can be made that Ryan Coogler brought us one of, if not the, best Rocky movie to date in 2015. Creed was heartfelt and full of Rocky spirit. For 2 years now we have been waiting on news of the sequel. However due to Michael B. Jordan teaming along with Coogler for Marvel’s Black Panther, little has been known about a sequel, until now.

Rumors began swirling early on about the plot of a proposed sequel involving Adonis Creed coming face to face with the man who killed his father, Ivan Drago, originally played by Dolph Lungren. Now, Sylvester Stallone has announced via his Instagram that Creed 2 is officially on the way, with himself at the helm to bring Michael B.

Sylvester Stallone to Direct ‘Creed 2’

Ryan Coogler directed the best Rocky movie since Rocky with Creed, but unfortunately, he’s not returning to helm Creed 2. Pre-production on the sequel has slowly been moving forward with the plot involving Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) and the man who killed his father, Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren). Plot details on all of his are still fuzzy, but we now know who will be helming the film: Sylvester Stallone. Stallone’s got an interesting filmography. He’s directed genuinely good movies like Rocky Balboa, Rocky III, and even the delightfully bonkers Rambo. But he’s also helmed …

Newswire: Sylvester Stallone absolutely won’t be in the Indian First Blood remake

Sylvester Stallone has no problem teasing things that may or may not be in upcoming movies, but he’s very serious when it comes to things that he definitely knows won’t be in upcoming movies—especially if he’s one of those things. According to Deadline, Stallone has flat-out denied any possibility that he’s going to appear in Tiger Shroff’s Indian remake of First Blood, saying that “any involvement” in the film is not happening “under any circumstances.” Stallone goes on to say that he has nothing against the project, but he wants it to be clear that he doesn’t have anything to do with it.

Back in October, director Ariel Vromen was tapped to direct an english-language reboot of the Rambo series, also without Stallone’s involvement, but it’s unclear if that project is still happening.

Rambo Reboot: Sylvester Stallone Won’t Be A Part Of First Blood, Eyeing 2018 Start For Creed 2

Similar to how Harrison Ford has circled back to portray a number of famous roles from yesteryear (see: Blade Runner 2049, Indiana Jones 5), Hollywood veteran Sylvester Stallone is no stranger to indulging in a little nostalgia from time to time, too – even if that nostalgia takes on the form of a tongue-in-cheek ensemble movie in the vein of The Expendables.

Case in point: Creed, Ryan Coogler’s Rocky spinoff movie that took that fundamental underdog story, slapped on a new lick of paint, and delivered a powerful, moving boxing film revolving around one Adonis Johnson (Michael B. Jordan).

Balancing the old with the new, Coogler’s hard-hitting drama still made room for Stallone’s Rocky Balboa, who assumed the role of a mentor/father figure to coach the young, unrefined Adonis into a bona fide world beater. That arc will continue through the release of Creed 2, which is expected

Sly Stallone confirms he is definitely not appearing in the Rambo remake

  • JoBlo
If there's one kind of war that Sylvester Stallone (or his character, John Ramo) has no interest becoming involved in, it's a rumor war. Recently, the suave, sneer-lipped action star told Deadline Hollywood that he is absolutely not participating in the Tiger Shroff-led remake of First Blood, a rehash of the 1982 classic that started the Rambo film series. Stallone made himself... Read More...

Sylvester Stallone says he has no involvement with Bollywood Rambo remake

Back in May it was announced that filmmaker Siddharth Anand and martial arts expect Tiger Shroff are teaming up for an official Bollywood remake of First Blood, which is set to begin production in 2018 under the title of Rambo [take a look at the teaser poster here].

Amid rumours that Sylvester Stallone will be involved with the production, the action icon has spoken to Deadline to clarify that “any involvement in Tiger Sharoff’s Rambo is not happening, under any circumstances” although he has nothing against the project, and “I wish them well on their own.”

Stallone had ambitions to reprise the role of John J. Rambo for a fifth movie, Rambo: Last Blood, although the project failed to materialise. He was also linked to a Rambo TV series which would have paired the Vietnam veteran up with his son, but declined to get involved, leaving the show dead in the water.

Meanwhile, back in October of last year,
