When the American Chicken Bunker, a military-themed fried-chicken chain, builds a restaurant on the site of an ancient Indian burial ground, local protesters aren't the only ones crying fowl! The previous tenants, fueled by a supernatural force, take "possession" of the food and those who eat it, and the survivors discover that they must band together before they themselves become the other white meat! Film lovers have been starved for sustenance. The relentless diet of predictability and pretense Hollywood has been serving up just doesn't cut it. Poultrygeist is hearty food for thought. In Poultrygeist, Troma takes on the the fast-food industry-skewering the soulless restaurateurs-in the world's first horror-comedy film to feature zombie chickens, American Indians and a bit of singing and dancing! It's Poultrygeist! Written by Troma Entertainment

Delicious film!
3 October 2008 | by (Philippines) – See all my reviews

Shocking. disgusting. Gory. Gruesome. Funny. These words describe one of the best films of the year: POULTRYGEIST! It's an energetic exercise in depravity and madness from first frame to last.

With a story about talking mutated chickens attacking a fast food restaurant, how can you not laugh at the absurdity??? Here we get scenes of sexual humiliation and depravity inter cut with scenes of extreme loose bowel movement. Also, this would not be a Troma film if it did't have sickening gore, and this is what it offers in spades: severed limbs, extreme-mutilation, cannibalism, heads ripped-off, body parts cooked and eaten etc. With gore like this, Ichi the Killer AND Hostel don't even exist! It's pure immature and childish mayhem that only Lloyd Kaufman can deliver.

Be reminded though that this movie is not for everyone for it OFFENDS EVERYONE!(Blacks, whites, Indians, Muslims, Christians, fast-food owners plus chickens)don't watch this film after a rewarding meal. It might be the stupidest thing you have done.
