Trivia

An early version of the OctoCamo was used by Snake during Metal Gear Solid Mobile. The early version could not replicate patterns by touch, however; the player had to take pictures of colors themselves using their phone and then transfer them onto Snake's suit. See more »

Goofs

In this game, we're told that Para-Medic, the female doctor from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, was Dr. Clark, who Naomi mentioned several times in Metal Gear Solid. However, Naomi always referred to this person as male. This is an unfortunate translational error: the Japanese language provides many gender-neutral terms, so Clark's gender was never specified in the Japanese version of the first game. The "Metal Gear Solid Database" which Konami have released fudges this by claiming Dr. Clark was secretive, and Naomi mistakenly assumed she was male as a result. See more »

Gaming has Changed
5 March 2009 | by See all my reviews

In an older trailer, Otacon says: "It'll be worth the wait". How right he was. How right he was.

There is not much more to say.

If you've played this game, you'll agree. If you've played this game and don't agree, see a doctor. If you've not played this game, what's wrong with you?

A milestone of brilliance. A touchstone of excellence. A game fitting of the title 'epic'.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is one of those pieces which intensifies the hope that there is a future for video gaming, that there is a future for movies - which the game essentially is.

Games have Changed.
