The 1998 broadcast also featured a special clip tribute to background performers. Life Achievement Award recipient Elizabeth Taylor was a last-minute no-show due to a back injury; Gregory Peck accepted for her. The 4th Annual SAG Awards marked the broadcast's shift from NBC to TNT, where it has flourished.
