A huge disappointment

This documentary was a huge disappointment. It's a completely sanitized version of Gable's life.

While I found the details on his early years very interesting, I was disappointed that many details of his later life were completely left out.

The only women mentioned in this show are his wives. Gable was a legendary womanizer (most notably: he had a child with Loretta Young), but no mention was made of any of these relationships. Also left out was the alleged suicide attempt after the death of Carole Lombard.

I prefer profiles of old Hollywood stars to include all of their lives: warts and all. I hope that one day someone makes this kind of show about Clark Gable.
