For detailed information about the amounts and types of (a) sex and nudity, (b) violence and gore, (c) profanity, (d) alcohol, drugs, and smoking, and (e) frightening and intense scenes in this movie, consult the IMDb Parents Guide for this movie. The Parents Guide for The Fall can be found here.

The Fall is based on a screenplay by American screenwriter Dan Gilroy, Nico Soultanakis, and Indian director Tarsem Singh. It's a remake of the 1981 Bulgarian film Yo ho ho.

Alexandria (Catinca Untaru) speaks in her native language, Romanian.

Due to the Cinematograph Animals Act from 1937, which bans displays of violence against animals, some scenes had to be slightly altered. Vintage movie footage of stunts involving horses were cut. A detailed comparison between both versions can be found here.
