"The Unit" (2006)

The first TV series created by playwright and screenwriter David Mamet, in collaboration with Shield creator Shawn Ryan, focuses on a unique Special Forces team, a covert unit operating outside the usual military chain of command, and the tight-knit community of wives and officers that closes around them to support the men and protect their missions. Dennis Haysbert is unit leader Jonas Blane, Scott Foley is the newest member of the team, Robert Patrick is the tough, flinty commander Colonel Tom Ryan, and Regina Taylor takes charge of the wives. Michael Irby, Max Martini, and Demore Barnes fill out the unit and Audrey Marie Anderson and Abby Brammell co-star as the wives.
