When Supernatural returns for Season 12 on Thursday, Oct. 13 (The CW, 9/8c), Dean and Sam will initially be separated by outside forces and a false presumption of death. But when has that ever kept the siblings from finding their way back to one another?

Every San Diego Comic-Con offers a different experience and a unique hue to its vintage. Thus it’s impossible to rank one Sdcc adventure over another, yet there are moments at each that stand tall. And running into Bruce Campbell and friends on several occasions this past week while they were promoting Ash vs Evil Dead season 2 certainly qualifies as a hard-to-top highlight.
Indeed, we were able to catch up with Groovy Bruce’s even groovier chin, as well as at different points Rob Tapert, who is executive producer on Ash vs Evil Dead, and fellow cast members Lucy Lawless, Dana DeLorenzo, and Ray Santiago, during a roundtable interview and the season 2 premiere screening. During it all, we learned some pretty nifty details about what »
The only thing Jensen Ackles might take more seriously than his work on Supernatural is his real-life role as a loving husband and father. It's been three years since his wife, Danneel Harris, gave birth to their daughter, Justice Jay Ackles, in June 2013. Although the couple doesn't post a lot on social media, the moments they do share pack in a lot of cuteness. We've seen even more photos of little Justice after Jensen's adorable Instagram debut in August 2015. Danneel followed suit, posting a supercute picture of a shirtless Jensen smiling and holding Justice during a pool day. Read on to see the family's sweet pictures, and then take a look at Jensen and Danneel's love story. »

On Sunday, the final day of Comic-Con descended on San Diego, and the Supernatural panel took place as part of the festivities. We got so many goodies during the event, from the slew of season 12 details to a sweet quote about Sam Winchester from Jared Padalecki. The real fun, though, happened during the fan Q&A, where one inquirer asked if there could ever be a Supernatural spinoff starring Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki's kids. The whole panel seemed amused by the idea, but it was Jensen who put himself in charge of providing an answer. See his telling quote below - complete with a Supernatural reference that hardcore fans will totally love. "They're already kind of a gang as it is. As some of you know, Jared has two sons, and I have a daughter. And, the other day, my daughter was talking about his two boys. I was like, »

Back in March, the latest attempt to adapt The Sandman hit another major bump in its long road to the screen when Joseph Gordon-Levitt dropped out of the film project that had just shifted from Warner Bros. to WB subsidiary New Line Cinema. Gordon-Levitt, who was set to direct and star in the big-screen adaptation of the acclaimed Neil Gaiman comic, was candid about how he and the folks at New Line didn’t “see eye to eye on what makes Sandman special.” It was bummer news for Gaiman fans hoping to see Sandman realized onscreen. Gordon-Levitt — whom we’ve seen grow so much as an actor since his 3rd Rock from the Sun days and even since (500) Days of Summer. He's taken on grittier, more introspective, and more varied roles like Inception, The Walk, and his directorial debut, Don Jon — seemed like a perfect fit for Morpheus. The sprawling »

Comic-Con went down in San Diego over the weekend, and along with revealing juicy new details about a lot of TV's hit shows as well as upcoming movies, it also gifted the world with a lot of eye candy moments. While things like Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, this American Horror Story hint, and the cast of Game of Thrones dishing on the Iron Throne are all still blowing our minds, we couldn't help but notice all of the major stars that came out to smolder on the red carpet, at parties, and while speaking on panels. Charlie Hunnam flashed his signature smirk, Supernatural's Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles showed off their tight bond, and Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed had a fun date night. Keep reading for all the best eye candy moments! »

Lucifer has been a recurring character since the fifth season with Mark Pellegrino taking on the role for the most part. The Devil has popped into other forms though over time including Jared Padalecki's Sam and more recently Misha Collins' Castiel from whom he was thrown out towards the end of last season.
Now he's found a new one with Springfield playing a rock star named Vince Vicente who is down on his luck and trying to make a comeback. Executive producers Robert Singer and Andrew Dabb announced the news during the show's Comic Con panel on Sunday.

On Sunday, the Supernatural panel slid into Comic-Con in San Diego. While there were scores of noteworthy parts of the event - like Jensen Ackles's tidbit about his daughter, Jared Padalecki's quote about Sam Winchester, and that story about a funny fan encounter - there was one moment in particular that really drove us over the edge. Of course, any avid Supernatural fan will be familiar with the term "Destiel." It's one of the more prevalent "ships" in the Supernatural universe, and it's all about the imagined not-so-platonic relationship between Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) and the angel Castiel (Misha Collins). The "ship" is so prevalent, in fact, that the show's monumental 200th episode gave it more than one shout out. Suffice it to say, Jensen and Misha's real-life friendship, while totally void of romantic feelings, is only fueling the fire. Anyway, all of these factors came together in »

The final day of Comic-Con took an exciting turn when the Supernatural panel took hold. Stacked with stars Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, and more, the event yielded tons of fun cast interactions and teased plenty of new details about season 12. There was also a fan Q&A session, where one young woman asked if the boys had ever worried about encountering anything otherworldly - a flesh-eating Wendigo, perhaps - in the time since they started working on the show. Padalecki didn't really have much to say about monsters, but he did have a story about a different way the show has carried into his real life. Check out his fun anecdote below, then read his sweet quote about his love for Sam Winchester. "I'll say something funny. I haven't seen a Wendigo yet, but Jensen and I - so, we both live in Austin with our families. We walked into a restaurant, »

As the saying goes, you save the best for last. That's what happened on Sunday at Comic-Con in San Diego, when the Supernatural panel finally struck. In attendance during this last day, of course, were the show's two stars, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki - who, as we know, are really close friends in real life. That's not the only part of the show that has transferred over into reality, though. During a round-table interview in the Supernatural press room, Jared explained to us what it's been like to spend more than a decade playing Sam Winchester. Read the full sweet quote about Jared's relationship with Sam below, then check out these other inspiring quotes from the actor. "Sam is my boy, man. I feel like, it's hard to say. It's not tough for me to like break out of character or anything. But I feel like, what I've learned from Sam, »

If Felicity Smoak’s new boyfriend happens to be reading this, lean in and listen closely, dude: Run.
Because when the cast of The CW’s Arrow visited Michael Ausiello at TVLine’s Comic-Con studio presented by Zte, it sounded as if a “wayward” projectile might have your name on it.

“Supernatural” is going “back to basics” in Season 12, executive producer Bob Singer promised at Comic-Con – with a focus on family reminiscent of the first two seasons, as Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) must deal with the return of their mother, Mary (Samantha Smith), the escape of Lucifer, and the apparent threat presented by another branch of the Men of Letters organization.
“You don’t get bigger than God, we can’t top all that,” Singer pointed out, admitting that they’re aiming to “tell smaller stories — some good old fashioned horror stories” in Season 12. “We’ve introduced the British Men of Letters, they’ll be part of what we’re doing. And we’ve still got Lucifer out there, so there’s a hunt for Lucifer.”
Since Lucifer is on the run – or attempting a “vacation” from the politics of trying to take over heaven or hell, per Singer — he’ll be “trying out a »

Comic-Con may be coming to an end, but it wouldn't be complete without appearances from Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki. On Sunday, the Supernatural actors stepped out in San Diego for their show's panel, and their outing was full of cute moments. Not only did Jared wrap his arm around Jensen as they posed for photos together, but they also shared a handful of laughs while sitting next to each other on stage. At the event last year, fans honored Jared's brave battle with depression by lighting up candles that read "Always Keep Fighting." Read on to see more of Jared and Jensen, then check out everything we know about the 12th season of Supernatural. »

Rick Springfield has been cast as a minion of Lucifer for a multi-episode arc of Supernatural’s season 12. The news was announced at the show’s Comic-Con panel in San Diego today. Exec producer Robert Singer described Springfield’s character as “a rock star who’s a little bit on the down side” and ready for a comeback. The former rocker — the character, not Springfield himself — becomes a “vessel” for Lucifer. Springfield, who broke through as an actor with American… »
There was a lot of interesting conversation at the Supernatural panel at San Diego Comic Con this Sunday.
First up was a bit of casting news. There's a new face that will be around at the beginning of the season.
He's new to the show, but looks a bit familiar. Rick Springfield will be a down on his luck rock star named Vince Vincente hosting Lucifer for a bit.
Robert Singer said in talking about Lucifer trying out hosts, that he needs a "really strong vessel, like Sam or Castiel..."
So this was one rock star who may not have been ripping his body to shreds in his line of business.
“The first vessel that [Lucifer] feels comfortable with,” Singer went on, “is a rock star who’s a little bit on the down side who’s trying to come back.”
Meanwhile, and I doubt this will be a surprise for anyone, »

The devil will be facing some new “Affairs of the Heart” in “Supernatural” season 12.
The musician has been cast as Lucifer in “Supernatural” season 12 and will play the devil in the first few episodes of the season. Executive producers Robert Singer and Andrew Dabb announced the news at the CW show’s Comic-Con panel on Sunday, moderated by Richard Speight Jr., who appeared in the long-running series.
“Rick Springfield is going to be the new Satan,” Speight said at the event.
Lucifer last season took possession of Castiel’s body, and will be trying out another vessel in the new season, the producers revealed. “You need a really strong vessel like Sam, like Castiel,” said Singer.
“The first vessel that [Lucifer] feels comfortable with is a rock star who’s a little bit on the down side who’s trying to come back,” Singer explained.
Dabb told fans at the convention that they wanted a real rock star »

Mom’s comeback “presents a dynamic that we haven’t had in quite a while — or ever,” Jensen Ackles previewed. “When mom left, Sam was a baby and Dean was a child. The children that she knew are now men, so the relationship is kind of nonexistent because there isn’t one. It’s an interesting situation, them trying to bridge that massive gap.”
