Storyline

Brilliant, but socially inept, forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperence Brennan works at the Jeffersonian Institute in Washington DC. After consulting for him on a FBI case, she is approached by cocky yet charming Former Army Ranger turned Special Agent, Seeley Booth to help the Bureau solve crimes by identifying human remains that are too far gone for standard FBI forensic investigations. Brennan's empirical, literal view of the world causes friction with Booths emotive, instinctive attitude creating a volatile relationship. However as their case load increases the symbiotic partnership produces results and with the support of Brennan's Squint Squad, murderers, past and present should be on the look out. Trivia

Almost every time Booth, played by David Boreanaz, is in front of the camera he has on him a watch, his FBI ID, a holstered sidearm, a Zippo lighter, Craps dice, a $100 poker chip, a floaty pen (the type where a girl's clothes fall off when you turn it upside down), 3"x5" index cards, his light brown sunglasses; and he is wearing a St. Christopher medal. All of these items can be spotted being handled by Booth throughout the series. See more »

Goofs

Max Keenan/Matthew Brennan's Inmate Number is 90-A-0133. This is a New York Dept. of Corrections number. Keenan was in Federal custody, which would have given him an 8-digit numeric inmate number. Keenan was portrayed as a state inmate, but was in fact federal. Also, the 90 in his NY state number indicates Keenan had been arrested in New York in 1990, one year before abandoning his children, which was never alluded to in the series. See more »

This is a GREAT show!
19 February 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

The dialogue is sharp, the acting is spot on; the characters are fun and well defined and each episode is worth watching. I mean nobody cheats! Emily Deshawhatever doesn't make her character more "appealing" (more "cute")- thus, making her more appealing!; her being so out of touch with the modern world is so well acted it's believable; and her best friend is hot because she's a perfect foil being so IN the modern world. I'm conflating all of these ideas because i want to cram in every reason why this is one of the 5 best shows on T.V. It is funny and smart and charming and if it is cancelled for some dumb ass executive reason I swear to God I will boycott...uh...whatever network it's on. Fox? Crap. Cause it's got one of the other 5: The Shield. But I will. This is a great show.
