Flashback: A Random 78 Minutes of MTV From June 1982

A little under a year ago we got tremendously excited when we learned that VH1 Classic was going to be reborn as MTV Classic. Visions of Remote Control marathons filled our heads along with the chance to finally see if lost classics like The State, The Ben Stiller Show, The Tom Green Show and The Andy Milonakis Show lived up to our memories. The MTV vault was overflowing with half-forgotten gems and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to see them again.

The first sign of trouble came when they

Jimmy Kimmel Unleashes His Troompa Loompas On ‘Bully’ Donald Trump

Jimmy Kimmel Unleashes His Troompa Loompas On ‘Bully’ Donald Trump
Donald Trump’s boorish behavior during this election season isn’t exactly a surprise to anyone who’s been paying attention to the news. He frequently insults his opponents with childish nicknames to his crowd of supporters, and though he’s largely moved away from that now that he has sewed up the Gop nomination, Jimmy Kimmel has no problem reminding his viewers of Trump’s bullying tactics.

On last night’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” Kimmel played a supercut of Trump’s nicknames for other candidates — Little Marco, Crazy Bernie, Crooked Hillary, etc. Then, he brought out his crew of Troompa Loompas again to sing a Wonka-esque number about Trump’s behavior, complete with breakdancing and a reference to Trump’s old reality show “The Apprentice.” Watch the video below.

Emmys 2012: 5 Things You Should Expect from Host Jimmy Kimmel

This Sunday, late-night anchor Jimmy Kimmel will step into the Emmy spotlight at the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards.

Making his Emmy host debut, Kimmel will move from the audience to the stage, as his ABC show Jimmy Kimmel Live! has won three Emmys and is nominated this year for Outstanding Variety Series.

Aside from his late-night series, Kimmel is most known being the funny co-host of Comedy Central’s The Man Show with Adam Carolla from 1999 to 2003. In April, he hosted the prestigious White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Kimmel is joining the ranks of some of the most popular (and unpopular) hosts in Emmy history. Some of the more revered hosts include Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz (1952), Johnny Carson (1971-74) and Neil Patrick Harris (2009). But let’s get real: As long as it’s better than the reality show hosts in 2008, featuring Tom Bergeron, Heidi Klum,

Minnie Driver identifies baby daddy -- sort of

  • Pop2it
Minnie Driver is finally opening up about the identity of the man who fathered her three-year-old son, Henry Story Driver. And it turns out a clue may have been in her son's name all along.

Driver doesn't reveal his name, but tells the The Observer that Henry's dad is a writer ("story driver?") from her short-lived FX show, "The Riches." Driver starred opposite Eddie Izzard in the show which aired in the 2007-2008 TV season.

"I don't need to protect him any more," says Driver. "He can fend for himself. He's a grown-up."

"Sort of. He's figuring it out," she adds when asked if he's a good dad. "I mean, he hasn't been that involved; his choice. But he is now."

We're going to assume that Driver is not referring to "The Riches" creator and headwriter, Dmitry Lipkin, who along with his wife and writing partner also created Showtime's "Hung.

Fox to Develop New Late-Night Block of Animated Programming

  • Collider.com
Move over, Adult Swim; there’s a new player in the pool. For more than ten years now, Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim programming block has been the place to find some of the most progressive, insane and “mature” animated programming on TV (stateside, at least). Due to its role in reviving such series as Family Guy and Futurama, Fox has paid attention to Adult Swim’s success over the years and saw that there was money to be made. Already promoting their “animation domination” with regular series Family Guy, The Simpsons and more, Fox has now developed a new unit of animation to focus on a late-night block of animated programming. Not only will this new unit focus on televised programming, they will also have counterparts running online. The shows will air on Saturdays from 11Pm to 12:30 Am Et/Pt and will feature four new animated series each season,

'The Voice' Reactions, 'Fast Five' Reviews And Miley Cyrus Meets 'Thor' In Today's Twitter-Wood

'The Voice' Reactions, 'Fast Five' Reviews And Miley Cyrus Meets 'Thor' In Today's Twitter-Wood
After months of promotion (it felt like years), "The Voice" finally premiered last night to huge numbers. During the show, the twitter-verse exploded, and tweet-shrapnel came from every which way, including Hollywood.

Meanwhile, the opening of "Thor" mightily approaches, and actress/singer Miley Cyrus wants in. While she's not billed for the film, Miley posted her own addition to the superhero epic. We have a feeling it's not going to make the final cut, but hey, here's hoping. All this and "Fast Five" is already receiving rave reviews -- and one outlet just doesn't get it.

I'm @TravisHelwig and this is Twitter-Wood for April 27th, 2011.

John Stewart's Rally, 'The Walking Dead' And 'Rocky Horror' On 'Glee' In Today's Twitter-Wood
Michael Ian Black refuses to perform at John Stewart's Rally to Restore Sanity this week, but he's got a good reason, and if you've been following his Twitter account you know what that is.

Meanwhile, the NBA tweets have been in full swing with the new season officially kicked off. Danny Pudi was all about it yesterday, while Marlon Wayans sounded worried about the Miami Heat. While the NBA is a popular topic in Twitter-Wood, it still may not have been as popular as AMC's "The Walking Dead"; Carlton Cuse and Eric Appel checked out the premiere last night and posted their thoughts. You'll find them after the jump along with Brian Lynch's concerns about last night's "Glee" episode.

I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is Twitter-Wood for October 27, 2010.

Sneak Peeks – Fox's "Bob's Burgers" (New Series)

Fox will be adding a new animated series to its Sunday night line-up at 8:30 p.m. in the midseason (see Fox's full fall and midseason schedules) and we have a promo and three sneak peeks for you below.

Bob's Burgers is a new animated series about a man, his family and a burger joint.

A third-generation restaurateur, Bob Belcher (H. Jon Benjamin, Family Guy, "Archer") runs Bob's Burgers with the help of his wife and their three kids. Bob has big ideas about burgers, condiments and sides, but only a few thoughts on customer service and business management. Despite his greasy counters, lousy location and occasionally spotty service, Bob is convinced his burgers speak for themselves.

Even though business is slow, Bob gets to work with his family. His wife, Linda Belcher (John Roberts, "The Christmas Tree," "Jackie & Debra"), supports Bob's dream through thick and thin (but truth be told,

A Giant And His Lady In Today's Daily TwitPic

You may or may not know who either of the people pictured are, but the freakish pairing you'll see after the jump is truly a sight to behold. Steve Agee is a comedian/actor/writer from the Sarah Silverman-Jimmy Kimmel circle of Hollywood. He's been a writer for Kimmel and "The Andy Milonakis Show," and he was in Silverman's movie and Comedy Central TV series. He's also enormous.

Mia Matsumiya is a violinist. She's a member of the band Kayo Dot, one of those experimental bands on John Zorn's Tzadik Records label. If Tonic were still a club in New York City, you can bet that Kayo Dot would have played there. One other fun fact about Matsumiya, very important to today's Daily TwitPic: she's tiny. Put this duo together and, well... just hit the jump. As "Slither" director James Gunn tweeted, "Incredibly, they're the same species!
